Over the last 10 years, Interiors Direct has been importing and manufacturing upholstered furniture for Interior Decorators, Designers, Trade and also supplying direct to the public.

Because of the growing concern for the environment we decided to examine the current construction methods used in the manufacturing of conventional home furnishings, imparticually sofa's and chairs. After some initial research, it became apparent that alternative eco friendly materials were available, which seemed to be largely ignored by the industry as a whole.

Because of this we formed Iduk (Interiors direct uk ltd) Patriot, the aim being to supply Eco-Friendly Furniture hand-built to order which is environmentally friendly, sustainably manufactured, and beautifully designed heirloom quality home furnishings. We pride ourselves on researching and sourcing the finest low-impact, sustainably produced, natural, organic and recyclable materials available without sacrificing comfort. We believe that beauty and style can come with respect and stewardship for the planet.

The Iduk Patriot sofa collection is hand-made locally in Long Eaton, Nottingham. We are very proud of the quality of the materials used in all phases of construction. Frames are hand-crafted from kiln-dried hardwood, harvested from sustainable managed forests; seat cushions are 100% Natural Latex, wrapped in organic wool and a cotton/hemp barrier cloth or feather filled; are sustainably and organically produced, low-impact dyed fabrics or recyclable.

As part of our on going commitment to sustainability, all of our furniture is built to be heirloom quality, and will outlast the original fabric many times over. As re-upholstery is a form of recycling, this helps ensure that the furniture you purchase will not end up in a land fill with its plywood cousin. When it has reached the end of its useful life, all of our products are made to be as easily and completely recyclable as possible.
